The summer has officially begun. It means that the time of sunny and hot days and refreshments outside or just in the countryside has come. Luckily, the weather in Germany is great at the moment and I hope it could last as long as possible. But the weather in Europe is quite unstable, so we will see. As for me, I love summer and I enjoy every day of sunshine and warmth and the possibility to wear dresses and skirts more often. Additionally, I have my birthday in summer. It´s great to celebrate this special day for me during my favorite time of the year.

This summer there are some trips we are planning now. First of all, we are going to spend some days in Amsterdam and celebrate my birthday. I cannot explain to you how deeply I love this city. That is why I need to visit it at least two times a year. In July, I´m flying to Russia again. That means a great time with my family and friends. In August, we are going to Portugal. It will be my first time in this beautiful country, so, I´m very excited about it. Though the most important thing is not the place you´re staying, but the people you are spending your time with. Am I right?!

Today´s outfit: a baby-doll dress + overknees

In today´s outfit, I want to show you how easy you can combine a basic gray mini dress with such provocative shoes like the overknees. Such styling rule as “don´t wear high-heel overknees with a mini skirt as it looks way too cheap” is still very widespread. Though, I would say, that the length of your skirt is not so important as the style and the fit of the pieces you wear to overknees. On my own example, you can see how a right chosen mini dress could be styled with such shoes. A baby-doll dress looks so innocent because of its fit which is so wide and doesn’t accentuate the thighs. That is why wearing overknees to such a dress doesn´t look too aggressive or provocative. Such basic dresses also perfect to create layering looks. I decided for a classic white shirt and rolled up the sleeves. The combination of an innocent, high-necked dress and a classic shirt with high-heeled overknees creates a nice style break and makes the outfit flirty, sexy, feminine and interesting at the same time.
