Bio Baobab day cream by Skinfood – review

I’ve already mentioned that my relation to natural skincare products is often very complicated. My skin reacts badly to numerous natural ingredients or they just don´t suit me or I simply can´t stand the smell of some of these products. Speaking about the smell, I´m very sensitive and need something very neutral or great-smelling. In all other cases, I can´t use such creams. Nonetheless, I like trying new natural skincare because natural ingredients work wonder and you don´t need to be doubtful concerning unknown chemical ingredients. Recently, I received a brand-new day cream “BIO Baobab” by the vegan brand Skinfood. The product is supposed to be very nourishing and suits every skin type.

Day cream “bio baobab”

The main ingredient of the cream is baobab oil which is an absolute jack of all trades. Baobab oil is rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium and other vitamins and elements. The cream is a great mixture of baobab oil, shea butter, and apricot seed oil. The best thing about it is that it really suits all skin types.

The cream is perfect for every day and nourishes and hydrates the skin. It´s also absorbed very quickly. Another pro of the product is the SPF 10. This is the mineral sunblock which creates a sort of layer on your skin and reflects the light. Mineral sunblocks are known to create a white layer on the skin too. This product is not an exception. Though, I have a little life-hack for you. To avoid it, I spread the cream between my palms first. After that, I lightly press my hands on my face and massage it a little bit. Applying the cream in this way, you´ll get enough and even layer of the cream on your skin without looking white as a ghost. Still, you should keep in mind that any product with a mineral sunblock has to be cleansed off your skin at the end of the day. Even if you don´t wear makeup, you´ve got to cleanse your skin because otherwise, it might lead to clogged pores and irritations. A mineral sunblock is not absorbed by the skin.

All in one, I really like this day cream. It´s practical, easy to use and very nourishing. It´s also great for summer because it´s absorbed within seconds. You can find it at every DM subsidiary in Germany.
