It´s so interesting to see how some fashion trends which used to be old-fashioned return to their life again and become must-haves. All the 90s´ stuff we used to wear is trendy again. Block heels with a plateau can be found in almost every fashion store. Checked blazers used to be something for elder gentlemen but this fall this has changed completely. A checked blazer became a must-have of the season. The popularity of this fashion piece can be seen on thousands of Instagram and Pinterest pictures fashionistas from all over the world post every day. One of the main reasons for such a success is the versatility and universality of such a print. Additionally, it looks much happier during cold and gray fall days than the black color.
One blazer – many ways to wear
I found my checked blazer at Bershka. I directly fell in love with its men-like cut and the length going down till my back. Such a longer length makes every blazer look more casual and still leaves it to be elegant with different styles. A men-like checked blazer is so universal that you can easily wear it with more classic pieces in the office or style it like a fashionista with trendy jeans.
I decided to style it with an A-line mini skirt and a classic white shirt. To me, this combination has a slight similarity with a school uniform. Well, I personally like it and wear such “back-to-school” outfits a lot. As this look is way too neutral to my liking, I chose a pair of glitter slip-ons to pimp it up a little bit. I also didn´t want to overload it with too many accessories, that´s why I decided for just one statement piece. An unusual bow necklace decorated with a brooch by Zara perfectly rounded up my outfit.
Did you fall in love with checked pieces as much as I do?
