Hi, beauties! Everyone who loves miniskirts knows that one should always be careful with them so that the world doesn’t get too much to see. This is quite impractical so that it generally discourages many gals from wearing miniskirts. But you know what, there is a very nice, practical and convenient alternative called a Skort. This is a combination of a skirt and shorts. It’s ridiculous that this piece gets so little attention. Some don’t even know about its existence and others are sure that it´s only made for little girls and female athletes. It’s a shame because a skort can do a lot for your style.
A skort – a super stylish, but underrated piece
This piece combines the beauty of a skirt and the comfort of shorts. No matter whether in summer or paired with see-through or black tights in winter, a skort remains just as suitable as it´s supposed to be. Its versatility is so great that you can easily combine it with almost everything. It can be tops, shirts, or warm and cozy sweaters. When I found mine, I fell in love immediately. The cut, the vinyl look, everything worked perfectly for me. The skort sits relatively high which is why it makes the legs so nice and long. Just the dream come true.
Up-style or down-style – both ways are possible with a skort
When you opt for such an active piece, you get a real statement. The good thing about it is that you don’t need a lot to style up an outfit like this. So that my legs look even longer, I added sock-boots with a very high heel. But so that it doesn’t get too much and too aggressive, the top should be less active, colorful, or too open. A white oversized shirt fits perfectly for complementing the look. Rolled up sleeves provide more casualness.
But if you want to down-style a skort, you should definitely pay attention to your shoe choice. It is better to look for something flat, e.g. Dr. Martens boots. They give character to every look and make it very casual. In general, I would advise against combining a top that shows too much free skin with a skort. It shows legs and that’s enough.
