Those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter noticed for sure that there had been some crucial amendments. First of all, I decided to not send an email to every blog post I just published. Instead, there will be one roundup email per week with all important links and news. To make it simpler, I decided to make it in English only. Though, there are still German and Russian versions of each post on the blog which can easily be found. All in one, the new newsletter is prettier, more qualitative, and interesting. Additionally, I´m going to add some occasional giveaways, fashion and beauty highlights and much more. So, if you haven’t subscribed to the DBK Stylez newsletter yet, you definitely should do it.

In case you don´t get the emails, please check your spam folder. Some providers, like GMX, put almost every email which includes links and pictures straight into it. Additionally, you should know that there is the so-called two-steps authorization, which means that to be successfully subscribed to my newsletters, you got to click the link in the email you´ll get after signing up. This is how you assure that you want to get your regular portion of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Sounds like a lot of work, doesn´t it? Unfortunately, there are statutory regulations which we must respect.

Layering – the best solution for unstable early spring days

Though the spring has finally come, and we could enjoy some very warm, sunny, and pleasant days (at least in Germany). Still, the weather remains very unstable. One day there are amazing plus 15 degrees Celsius, the next one there are only plus 5 combined with an icy wind. For me personally, it´s way too cold to wear a thin leather jacket. That is why simple but effective layering tricks save me in early spring. Especially, when you have a new spring coat and cannot wait any longer, a layering look is all you need. The golden rule for layering outfits is paying attention to pieces with a different length. I started with a white oversized shirt and paired it with a short down jacket by Juniqlo. This jacket helped me the whole winter long to feel warm without feeling too bulky. As for the top layer, I picked my freshly purchased plaid coat. I decided for the one with the pop of green because the traditional gray print became way too popular and can be found everywhere. The first outfit based on the coat can be found here. The blue jeans by Envii look perfectly with the whole layers and white sneakers with holographic details round up the look. As you can see, such a mix of sporty, classical, and trendy pieces makes a great everyday casual look.

  1. Great post! The weather where I live is also very unstable, so that means that even though it’s spring, you have to be ready for winter and summer weather! So dressing in layers is a definite must!
