This blog post comes later than it should have. But as they say, better late than never. I spent some days in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. That wasn´t my first time there but it was a special time for me. Some years ago I decided to spend every birthday of mine in a nice place. This year we decided for Italy. What should I say?! I love this city so much!
I know there are different ways to travel and they all can be interesting and right. What I personally would recommend to everyone is to visit one place twice or even thrice if you have such opportunity. It will give you a chance to be a little bit familiar with the place you are in. You will be able to walk on your own and experience the place, its spirit and culture. That is why I am not a fan of Guide tours. It can be nice but you will experience the place with the eyes of your guide and not with your own. Rome is a perfect city in order to make your own tours because almost building has its own history. In this city you will constantly have a feeling of being a part of the ancient Rome. It doesn’t matter where you go, you will see something historically or culturally important.
For your “individual” tour in Rome I would also recommend you to purchase the so called “Roma pass” (you can get it directly at the airport). This pass is useful as it allows you to use all kinds of the public road transport, visit numerous museums (including the Colosseum) and much more.
As a fashion blogger I also pay attention to the shopping opportunities in the places I´ve already been. Barcelona and Rome are my favorite cities for shopping. There are many tiny shops with stylish and extraordinary cloths and accessories. I always purchase a plenty of pieces there. That is why I recommend you to save some money for an exclusive jewelry or bag. This stuff is just awesome there. Not for nothing the Italian designer are the most popular in the world.
