The spring gets closer and this is high time to start considering your spring-summer wardrobe. Like the fall/winter season 17/18, we had been presented numerous different trends. So, it´s not a problem to pick some of them you like and associate you with. In this post, I put the most interesting coming trends of the spring/summer season 18 which I fell in love with. Let yourself be inspired.
Go wild (Safari / Cargo)
The pretty neutral colors such as beige, olive, and different green tones are in again in the coming season. Safari styles have simple forms and are very comfortable. Breathable materials like cotton or satin suit perfectly for hot days and look city casual. The safari spirit can be totally seen in the newest collection of Nicholas K who brought it to the next level. With the natural material necklaces like corals and wood elements, all pieces look very modern but authentic at the same time.
How to wear safary style?
Of course, overalls, dresses, pants, and other pieces in safari style are a great story themselves. Though, to elevate such outfits and give them a more urban feeling, you can choose high-heeled stilettoes or sandals. Statement necklaces make simple cuts and forms of the most safari pieces more complex and fashionable. To give it an extra portion of coolness and trendiness, pair them with berets, coats, and trenches with animal prints which will create a great color/print contrast and still be a continuation of the safari theme. By the way, animal prints are a separate trend in coming spring and summer 18. The main difference between this trend now and last season is the shift form natural-looking animal prints to the colorful and bright ones. So, the latest fashion show by Versace is a great example of how such wild variations can look like. The combination of the leopard print with almost neon yellow color is a very sophisticated one.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”trends_spring_summer_18_cargo”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Floral prints which we loved and couldn´t miss through the whole fall/winter 17/18 season are still popular. It couldn´t have been any different because flowers are practically the symbols of spring. Numerous designers presented many variations richly decorated with flowers, starting from floral coats to dresses and pants suits.
Denim is still very popular, though, there had been not so many denim pieces on the catwalks this time as there used to be. This time designers recommend us to put our attention on dark-blue denim without any destroyed elements or rips. Denim shirts and vests remain on the top and look very creative and extraordinary. Oversized shirts in denim look make a sophisticated statement in every spring outfit. Though, if you want to bring your style to another level, you should consider purchasing a denim coat or trench. These are quite easy to style and look extremely stylish even with simple basic outfits.
How to wear a denim shirt?
I personally like how Versace styled such a denim shirt and made kind of a feminine-cowgirl creation out of it. The denim shirt was stuck into the complex maxi-skirt decorated with active prints and lace underneath. You can still see the oversized cut of the shirt and a flattering silhouette at the same time. In case you want to deepen the “cowgirl” theme, you can pair such a shirt with leather pants. Still, doing this, pay attention on the proportions and choosing an oversized top, pick a skinny down.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”trends_spring_summer_18_denim_floral”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
For at least two seasons we all know that sports clothing can also be worn outside of the gym. This season, designers go even further and make such sports activities like motorsports and surfing to their inspirational spring. The best example of such a creativity flow is the latest collection of Puma with Rihanna which combines sports equipment with trendy pieces and a young and rebel spirit. All pieces from this collection are very colorful, young, and sophisticated. The neon blue lives near the neon pink, slim fit cuts live near bold styles and the biggest trends such as style shifts, transparency, and much more.
How to wear sportleisure in SS 18?
First of all, you need a great self-confidence because sportleisure outfits are eye-catching ones. Secondly, start with the less is more law. As long as you aren´t a street style guru, keep it slow to get comfortable in your outfits and see what direction you want them to elevate. Otherwise, you risk looking like a stylish weirdo. Also think about such time-proven combinations like a sports top paired with a blazer, a long kimono or sports pants paired with pumps or high-heeled sandals and one-colored shirts.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”trends_spring_summer_18_sporty”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Power Red and lilac tenderness
In case you have been sleeping the whole fall/winter season 17/18 and don’t know that the red color was officially the color of the season, you still have a chance to purchase a stylish piece in red. In the coming spring and summer 18, this power color is still very present. Though, there are some slight changes in what the trendiest red pieces are. If you want to go with this trend, pick a red coat or a trench coat. If you don´t feel self-confident enough about it, just find a perfectly looking dress in red color. They are also in.
An intense violet color has been officially announced the color of the year. Great news but I personally didn’t hear about how fashionistas would love it. In fact, this beautiful color is very complicated because it just doesn´t look well on many people. Still, it doesn´t mean that we all cannot wear it. Thank God there are numerous ways to integrate it into your style, e.g accessories. Even adding a violet bag or a scarf will suit. Last but not least, there is a really easy way to solve the problem by just having a lilac manicure made. Another way to make this color wearable for the majority is turning to its pastel friend, lilac. This color suits perfectly for the spring and looks well on many even very pale girls. By the way, monochromatic outfits in lilac are so in and will put you directly into the spring mood.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”trends_spring_summer_18_red_flieder”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
The power of sparkles
Interesting fabrics, sparkles, and glitters are no longer a part of the evening dress code. Numerous designers both at the Paris and New York Fashion weeks showed how to integrate all the glamor into our normal daily life. Down-styling such as wearing sparkling evening dresses with slippers or every day dresses made of sparkling dresses had been presented to us. In case you don´t feel comfortable wearing such a bling-bling story throughout a day, pick some sparkling shoes which will elevate every outfit of yours.
Shirts and tops with XXL sleeves
Oversized pieces are still in. Still, there are some differences between what we loved during last fall and winter and what is trendy now. First of all, the fabrics got to be light and fluttering. Secondly, the oversizing moved to sleeves. The sleeves became extraordinary, very long, broad, with holes and decorating elements. You can practically find every kind of XXL sleeves you want to. Such tops look gorgeous with skinny jeans and leather/vinyl pants.
Lace, ruffles & transparency
All feminine elements are back again. I personally love lace, ruffles, bows, and other elements. The best thing about them is that you can wear them both in a very innocent and girlish way or in a seductive and tempting way. It´s all up to you! What kind of effect would you prefer?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”trends_spring_summer_18_ruffles_transparency”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Love,
