The Valentine´s day is near

Tomorrow is Valentine´s day, the day of love and romance. Generally, I like this day as there is nothing more important than relationships. I also enjoy all the outfits fashion bloggers post on their blogs before Valentine´s day as the outfits show their own love story and the feminine side. Nonetheless, there are some points which I really don´t like about this day. The artificial stress while looking for presents, picking overpriced flowers and chocolate makes me doubt it a little. I think that such things as flowers, little nice surprises belong to relationships on the regular basis just because one wants to make his partner happy. Or should it be only on Valentine´s day?

Create your own traditions

My husband and I celebrate Valentine´s day more or less. I don´t pay too much attention to red roses or something like that. What I appreciate is the chance to spend a nice time together. Some days before Valentine´s day I receive a gift from my husband. For the third time, he chose for me earrings by Swarovski. In respect of that, I can speak about the young tradition of Swarovski presents. We also like going to our favorite Greece restaurant in the evening but his year we will choose another place as we are spending some days in Bangkok (Thailand). Though I still feel jet-lag, I am really excited about this time in Asia.

Less is more

For the 14th of February, I decided for one of my favorite dresses by Karen Millen. I love the Style of the 60s´ with its feminine side, which is why I purchased this piece. This dress has a nice juicy color and a great decoration with buttons in the front. All this makes it the perfect choice for a date with my best part. I also decided for a simplicity and avoided massive accessories. All I needed to the dress were a pair of nice pumps to put my legs in the limelight.

I´m wearing: dress by  Karen Millen, pumps by 5th. Avenue

I wish you much love!

What does Valentine´s day mean to you? Do you celebrate it?

Personally I’m not into valentine’s day, I agree with you that it is often just a bit of a ‘buy overpriced chocolate’ fest but for those who enjoy it I’m sure it is lovely. I really like your Karen Millen dress, I agree that the style is really feminine, so pretty.
