Recently, I read a blog post where one young woman shared her cancer story and how she had gone through all the issues trying to recover. She was only 30 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After that diagnosis, her life wasn´t the same anymore. Luckily, she conquered the disease but still couldn´t get her former life back. In fact, she needs a hormone therapy and other medical treatments for the next seven years to be sure breast cancer won´t come back. After I read this post, I was shocked because this story made me realize that cancer also tries to kill young people. Such stories make me see and realize that this disease is closer and more realistic than it seems to be. It also made me think about my self-acceptance and the way I see myself and my
Cherish all you got before it´s too late
Who didn´t hear this sentence or didn´t say it to him-/herself at least once? Still, how do we value it? For sure, many of us think that there is plenty of time for everything. Should I visit my parents today? No, maybe I´ll do it on the weekend. Should I spend this evening with my family or my loved ones? Maybe next time, today I´m too exhausted. We are sure that we have this time, but what if it isn’t so? First of all, we don´t know how much time we have. Second of all, there will always be something important to do or to settle in our lives. We should finally realize that the normal and routine things in our lives are not permanent but on the contrary, very fragile, and sometimes short-lived.
Of course, we need to cherish the time and be thankful for it with our families which is given to us. But we also need to be thankful for our own being, for our life, and our health. Especially healthy people tend to replace the fact that being healthy is not self-evident and permanent. Many others do not have this gift and suffer from different health problems. They want nothing more than their health back. I decided to mention this in this post just to remember all of us about what really important things actually are. I am a complicated person who is pretty often unsatisfied with how things are going in my life. Sometimes I´m even unhappy with myself. To be more precise, I often cannot do myself any justice. However, when I see people who lose their health and struggle to survive, I feel like I don´t even have any right to feel that way. I have the most precious gift, my health and I should be feeling thankful for it. Probably, with this post, I want to accentuate the meaning of it both for you and for myself once again.
Happiness consists of numerous little things
Recently, I made a blog post about all the things that help me feel much happier (here). All of them are still present and important in my life. Though, now I´m even more sure that the real happiness consists of numerous little things we experience and live through every single day. Also, in order to be happy, we need to be in balance with ourselves. I also wrote about the importance of being able to feel the signals your body sends you. We all can feel them with a little practice. I personally feel beyond happy when I see the sun in the morning. Living in Germany I miss it pretty much because it´s a rare guest in this country. I just enjoy the energy of the sun and its kisses my skin. Sometimes we don´t need too much to be happy.
Navy-blue coat with a tie-up top and the coolest mom-jeans ever
In cold winter my fashion creativity doesn´t work optimally. However, I know how to handle this situation, I just need some new clothes to enjoy and style. This time I found the perfect mom-jeans I had been looking for a while. All I had been looking for was a pair of light-blue jeans with absolutely no rips or holes. These jeans look amazing and are very comfortable. My favorite piece is from the Danish brand Envii. I decided to pair these jeans with a gray tie-up top and a navy-blue coat which I threw on my shoulders. To make the look more interesting, I chose leather booties with fringes. What do you think about it?
I´m wearing: coat by Zara / top by Lavish Alice / jeans by Envii / booties by Zara / sunnies by Miu Miu /
