I´m so happy to live near Amsterdam which allows me to get there within three hours by car. Yesterday, I came home from my three-days stay in the capital of the Netherlands. We were lucky enough to have a great summer weather there which made our stay even better because we could spend so much time outside. Going to Amsterdam quite often means to me that I don´t necessarily need a touristic sightseeing. I saw it all numerous times. That is why this blog post won´t be kind of a “what you definitely should see while in Amsterdam”. Still, in case you hesitate about visiting it, I recommend you to take a look at this post of mine. My last trip was a little bit less touristic but rich in positive emotions.
Long city walks and a friendship boat tour
The city is perfect for long walks because the streets of the old city are too narrow for driving a car. Some of them are even closed for cars and buses. The best thing about Amsterdam is that you can enjoy the peaceful vibes of the city by simply taking a ten-minutes’ walk away from the main canals. It´s actually the best chance to explore the real Amsterdam and avoid overpriced restaurants and touristic places. Doing that you get a chance to enjoy the Amsterdam architecture and find a nice place to take a break.
A boat tour is the best option to see the city of Amsterdam. That is that you definitely should take such a tour, especially when you´re for the first time in Amsterdam. For me personally, it´s not interesting because I did it several times. I found a better option for me choosing a private boat tour. A friendship boat tour e.g. costs 15 EUR per person and makes it possible to see even the hidden spots of the city. The guys from the tour take you along the narrowest canals which would be impossible with a normal boat. It´s such a unique feeling. This time, I chose a place in front of the boat and enjoyed the view lying in cushions and sipping a refreshing drink.
A romper with a floral print – feeling like a model
The weather and the surroundings were amazing. That’s why we directly decided to take some pictures of my today´s outfit. When I saw this romper for the first time, I fell in love with it but when I tried it on, I was completely blown away. It looked so beautiful. The romper has such a great summer feeling combined with a femininity and elegance at the same time. Its short length makes legs look much longer and paired with high heels turns you into a model. I also love how amazing its long sleeves are. This piece not only suits an everyday life but also for some special occasions. I didn’t expect it to be flattering. It literally became one of my most favorite summer pieces at the moment.
